Common Questions

  • Do it Hurt?
It do! Having needles pierce your skin hurts. The real question is 'How much does it hurt, and can I handle it?' It's not nearly as bad as what you would imagine. The pain comes from the cluster of needles on the tattooing machine piercing your skin rapidly. This sensation, however, doesn't feel like the pain of an injection - it's more of a constant vibration. You will be amazed at how quickly your body releases endorphins, which dulls the pain significantly. The pain will vary depending where on your body you get tattooed. Skin right above bones tend to be more painful than other areas. In addition, certain types of needles seem to hurt more than others.
  • How much does a tattoo cost?
Hourly rates are between $150 and $175 per hour depending on the artist. The size and complexity of your tattoo will determine the cost. The consultation for your tattoo is free. Once we have discussed the general idea, size and location of the tattoo, you will be provided with a rough estimate of time and cost. A deposit will be required to set your appointment date and time. The deposit amount will be applied to the final cost of your tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule your appointment please notify the shop at least 48 hours in advance or your deposit may be forfeited. Contact the artist of your choice for rates and booking information.
  • Do I need an appointment
Probably. While we welcome walk-ins, our artists are typically busy working with clients from day to day. So to you will more than likely need an appointment to get tattooed. The best way to get started is to send one of our artists a message via the form on their page. Also feel free to call the shop at 251.210.8081 or email us at

  • What is your minimum charge for a tattoo?
This will vary from artist to artist. Contact the artist you are interested in working with for more details.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
Please contact the artist you want to work with regarding payment options.
  • Do you perform tattoo removal?
We do not perform tattoo (lazer) removal here at our shop. We recommend a licensed dermatology, oconcology or plastic surgery clinic. Lazer removal is relatively affordable and very effective for significantly fading existing tattoos if not removing them altogether. We normally recommend lazer removal for clients who's existing tattoo is too dark to be covered by a new tattoo.

  • What are the aftercare instructions?
Aftercare instructions will be provided to you by the artist at the time of your tattoo.

  • Do you do apprenticeships? and if so would you be willing to take on an apprentice in the near future?
  • Do you do temporary tattooing? Henna?
    Hell No.
